Privacy policy
This explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. Last updated 8 November 2026.
Who we are
Yakaf is the UK distributor of Jinst Murun knitwear. We are the controller of the personal information described below.
You can contact us about your information through the trade enquiry form.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through our two forms:
- Trade enquiry form: your name, business name, email address, type of business and country, plus your phone number, website or Instagram, and a message if you choose to give them.
- “Where to buy” form: your email address, plus your name and a message if you choose to give them.
Website analytics. Google Tag Manager loads on every page, which means your browser contacts Google and Google can receive technical details such as your IP address and the page you are viewing. It is set to keep analytics storage off until you accept. If you accept our cookie notice, Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information about your visit, such as device and browser details and the pages you view. We use this to understand how the site is used. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set.
Like most websites, the server that hosts the site may also record technical details such as your IP address and the pages requested in its logs, for security and reliability.
Why we use it
We use your information only to reply to you and to send you what you asked for.
- Trade enquiries: to respond to your enquiry and take steps you ask for before any order. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- “Where to buy” requests: to let you know where to find Yakaf. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
- Analytics: to see how visitors use the site and improve it. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by accepting on the cookie notice and can withdraw at any time.
We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not sell them.
Who sees it
Your details are stored on the server that hosts this website, run by our hosting provider, who handles them only on our behalf. If you accept analytics, Google receives the analytics information described above and may process it outside the UK. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and requests for up to 24 months, then delete them, unless we are in an ongoing business relationship with you. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it; and
- ask for your information in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website sets no analytics cookies unless you accept. See our cookies page for details and to change your choice.
