Our story

Where the fibre comes from.

Jinst Murun was founded in 2007 in Murun, in Mongolia’s Khuvsgul Province. Yakaf is the knitwear it makes from the fibre of the region.

The garments are made from two distinctive Mongolian fibres. Jinst Murun combines locally sourced raw materials, modern knitting technology and skilled craftsmanship to create comfortable, practical and timeless clothes. Every piece is 100% pure and left in the fibre’s own natural colour, with no dyes.

Its business is built on quality, integrity, responsible sourcing and long-term relationships with local herders, manufacturing partners and customers.
